Landscape Garden Spot
Know of a scenic, affordable venue for an intimate outdoor wedding ceremony near York, Pennsylvania (PA)?
We are hoping to have a small outdoor wedding ceremony (with only 8 - 20 guests) sometime during the weekend of August 1st, 2009, near York, Pennsylvania. We wouldn't mind having it on Friday (July 31st) or Sunday (August 2nd), if those days are discounted, but would prefer to have it in the evening. Our goal is to find a local, scenic outdoor venue for less than $1000 ceremony site fee. We are desperately seeking a nicely landscaped area... gardens, fountains, a forest, an open field, a winery, an orchard, a restaurant next to the river -- it doesn't matter as long as it's a beautiful spot, affordable, private, and close enough to York (ideally no more than an hour or so away). Privacy is VERY important to us; we would prefer to have no onlookers (which is why state parks aren't really an option). We have already checked out Hershey Gardens, but would like to find something more private. Please help! Any recommendations that fit these guidelines would be very useful.
I concur with the other answerer... Ohio has many beautiful and outdoor locations for weddings. If you're interested, I could send you some links to a few pretty locations.
