How to hold a double bass?
Ive been playing double bass for about 3 weeks now. been playing Regular for about 4 years. So i got the slap thing alright ect. But one problem is my arm playing the frets gets heaps tired after awhile. Like as if your holding your arm in the arm for ages...it just gets tired and heavy (wants to fall down).
I'm holding it Straight up and my arm is horizontally out from my body then folding at the elbow and then touching the fret boards.
I just want to know if it just takes time to get used to...or if I just got weak arms that cant hack it.

that sounds like the correct left hand technique. it just takes getting used to. I went through the same transition a while ago. try kind of angling the actual instrument towards your body.
