How can I make my indoor wood dining table suitable to use outdoors on my patio? Will lacquer work?
I don't know the quality of the table and how dry your patio is but you are probably going to be without a table sooner or later.
Almost all table tops are glued up from multiple boards. The glue is not made for outdoor use. No matter matter how many coats of varnish you put on it, the moisture will get to the glue joints and they will fail.
If the patio is covered and fairly dry, the table might last a few years. If it is not covered then may be only a year.
If you want a table for your patio, you need one that is specifically made for outdoor use.
