charcoal grill in front of a gas grill?
He wanted to buy a new grill. I was looking for a product that uses charcoal and firestarter gas, but we went to the store, who said that manufacturers are doing as they separate. Can u tell me, in his own experience, what is better, coal or gas? And also, is there a brand of gas grill you can use with lava rocks, as I still have not found one of the shops I went to. It is a matter of convenience vs. taste. Personally I never will own anything but charcoal (I have 3 sizes of boilers Weber), and even install a ceramic inlay on my terrace, so you can cook without worrying that an ember fall and burn. I fully understand people who swear by gas grills though. They are easier to cook, easier to regulate temperature, and if you use a natural gas grill connected to your home gas line, you never have to worry about running out of fuel. There are things that you can use on a gas grill to add flavor to food than cooking, such as mesquite or hickory chips, but still does not reflect the taste of charcoal for me. Hope this helps.
