Yard Light Path
A good heavy duty torch?
I need a good, reliable heavy duty torch is brilliant and lasts for a fair time. Something like a cell Maglite D is what I seek. Any suggestions? I like the look and feel but are very bright Maglite? I've heard that LED torches are tenuous at best. I want to get around town at night so it has to be bright enough to illuminate my way to say 10 to 15 yards. Maglite If you are the answer, then which model is better? Or maybe there is a cheaper alternative to a flashlight? From Maglite.co.uk are an astronomical £ 30 which is about U.S. $ 60! The I have seen websites MUCH less in the U.S. but do not want to ask a torch overseas. Thank you!
LED flashlights have improved greatly in recent years. Maglite to an LED. I'd recommend an LED beacon, which is tied to the head (similar to a miner's lamp). I have one with 6 LEDs on, some have more. They are quite cheap if you shop around. Lots available at Amazon, link below.
