How to add transmission oil cooler to a 2006 Toyota Highlander V-6 @.?
I have worked on many cars, but have never installed a radiator transmission oil. I guess the supply lines are flexible and would be made of a synthetic material. Are the lines under high pressure or low? They are prone to leak? What about the outlets in the transmission, which are prominent or difficult to detect. Can they be connected backwards? O, flow into the refrigerator is not important. What are the best brands, also the materials used in its construction. Any advice welcome. Thank you.
I am not particularly familiar with the vehicle in question, but here are some general tips. On vehicles with cross-flow radiators (tanks at each end, no top and bottom), the top line is where the fluid metal trans cooler is in stock, which is in the tank of the radiator. (Usually passenger side) As you can imagine, they do not cool the trans fluid so. The bottom line of metal that returns to the trans fluid is the one you want to splice en.
