Can anything be done about our neighbours security light?
It's driving me mad! Not only does it completely illuminate our living room and bedroom, it detects even the slightest motion; including a plastic bag blowing across the garden or our cat coming up and down the path. If she's roaming around the front garden at night, as she often does, the light will repeatedly click on and off for as long as she's there.
They're not exactly the most compromising of people, so if they refuse to replace it with a porch light, can we do anything about it?
I had the same problem. My neighbour was very helpful though.
all that had to be done was the position of the light was moved slightly so that it didn't go on when we walked down our own driveway.

All I would suggest is ask the neighbour if it would be possible to alter the direction of the light. Even a "blind" on the light of some sort to stop it from shining into your rooms.
Neighbours are a tricky lot aren't they? good luck.
