Can any police officer answer this about my light on my car?

I bought a expolice car and it has this great spotlight on the door. Its very handy for seeing street signs .
I have trouble making left turns and i have to look over the pillar in order to see. Sometimes i miss a pedestrian in my blind spot becuase of the light. I turn the light downward so it is out of the way but it still obstructs visibility
Do any of you have this problem with the light?

Yes, it can get in the way, you just have to take extra steps to ensure that the way is clear. Practice will get you there.

Very easy to miss anything in the blind spot, that is why you have to take a few seconds to double check.

I normally drive with the light turned down, less chance of vision obstruction, less likely it will flip back and break, and less likely I will have forgotten to turn it off and it blind on-coming traffic.
