Is there any alternative other than toughened glass to make a g.house safe for children?
My neighbour wants rid of his 1 yr old lean- to greenhouse and has told me I can have it. I am frightened for the childrens safety and want to replace the glass with toughened glass which is expensive. My partner thinks its un nesesary. How safe is g/house glass and are there any other alternatives.I believe there is a film you can apply. Has anyone any knowledge of this? Does it exclude light? Where do you get it? All help appreciated.

What is the danger? that the glass will break - how likely is this? generally only if a football goes through it. then what? teach your kids not to go near or pick up broken glass!!
