my hair smells after being shutout

Hey! .. So I had to change my hair color for a show I was in. I switched from dark auburn to light black and Strawberry Blonde. NOW! if you have bleached your hair black before you know it takes a long time and sometimes multiple whitening kits to get enough light. Over time, took three bottles of bleach hair and 3 boxes of hair color to get the right color for the show. (I took a week between the bleaching and dyeing) But after the bleach, my hair was a little sticky and smelled of metal chemicals, and after dyed it for about two weeks, has not changed in the odor or texture ... Any suggestions on how to stop this madness? Thanks!
