Fast track runner....terribly out of shape...need tips && advice.?
so i run track in high school.....ive done cross country, indoor, and outdoor track...so i have been pretty much in shape the entire school year [including training during pre+post season] however this summer i have been SERIOUSLY slacking off be cause of traveling and work interferring with my training. i am a 55 100 200 and 400 meter runner. i was wondering what type work outs can get me back into shape in the 1 and a half months i have before school starts. hills, easy practices w/ log jogs,?? i am confused.....& would apperciate your help
other than the obvious jogging you need to do for your stamina, (1 hour a day or more would be beneficial considering you do the 200 and 400 meter):
consider, jump rope, swimming, you have many choices, do some weight training for your legs including squats, calf raises, etc, it will also benefit you to do some light work on your upper body as well, push ups, abs exercises (crunches, twists, etc)
drink plenty of water, and definitely watch your diet as well 
since you sound like u probably gained weight during this time, whole grain foods, skim milk, etc, fruits
that should about do it, good luck in your training!
