What type of material should be used for cat enclosure walls?
Hi,
We inherited a relatives 15 year old outdoor only cat who will have to come with us to the new house (can't be indoor, I tried, he lasted 2 days then started spraying).
The house has a covered patio, I am thinking of building walls of mesh for him, and adding a heavier duty screen door to it. What kind of mesh would be best to use? I've seen different types, sizes, and materials, not sure what to get.

He is neutered, has been for a long time. At his age he is very set in his ways. (believe me we tried hard)
The meshes / fencing stuff I'm thinking about are metal, but I don't know what size / type to get.
Is he neutered? If not, then that's your first step. He may (**MAY**) stop spraying after this, and could potentially be rehomed to be an indoor cat. What you need for an outdoor enclosure is high, wood fences. The cat will tear through mesh and escape, and if hes not neutered, he will wander very far to mate.
