Do you think she considers this a date?
Known her for about a year. We're very close, and we're always doing things together. We have no mutual friends, so it's always just us going out. I am interested in her...we always go out, but we never really considered them dates. We could take a night walk in the park, have romantic French dinners, even just sitting by the lake for hours, and we both tried not to make them as dates...but they were really romantic.
This Friday; I am taking her to an evening picnic. I chose a really secluded beach. I told her I'll be making the food, bringing chilled wine, and we could watch the sun set and stars come up later. She was pretty excited; asking if I could make something special for her. Would you consider this a date, even given that we always hang out alone together?
This is definitely a date, in my opinion.
What is or is not a "date" is in the eye of the beholder. My guess is that she considers that to be a date.
