Fire Pit Beverage
What's on your menu for The 4th of July celebration day?
My Lil Sweety and I will be celebrating the 4th with my family at my sister and bro-in-law's house, (they have a swimming pool, horse shoe pits, and a shaded picnic area:) and we'll be consuming grilled hot dogs, brats, baked beans, mac-salad/tuna, tater chips, and the adults will be nursing various alcohol related beverages, and the kiddies will have their choice of several types of sodas, Koolaid, juice, and water, and to top off the evening my brother and I will be entertaining the family with a large display of class B fire works.
well, we all arrive at my parents around 11am
Lunch is burgers & hotdogs on the grill
baked beans, cole slaw & potato salad for the sides
there is cold beer and sodas and juices & waters in tubs with ice all over the place
there is watermelon and canalope throughout the day
we play sports....touch foot ball & tug-o-war are the favorites among the adults....volley ball & sneaking beer & swimming is the teenager's favorite sports, while the little kids alternate playing in the sand box and then washing off in the wading pool
then we have dinner around 6.....whatever is leftover from lunch and dad grill's a bunch of t-bones & pork chops & chicken....corn & potatoes are also cooked on the grill.
then, we are lucky because my parents live on a Lake, we watch the Lake's public fire-work display while the little ones fall asleep in their parents lap.
after all of that is over we either go off-roading in 4 wheel drives or somebody picks a fight with somebody else and we all go home! (its family, gotta love 'em)
