Choosing The Right Chrysler 300 Mesh Style Grille – Abs Plastic Or Stainless Steel?
Choosing the right fitting mesh grille for your Chrysler 300 can often seem complex, mainly because there are so many styles to choose from. There are countless local and online stores offering aftermarket grills for the Chrysler 300 and 300C. The infinite grill choices make for a complicated decision-making while deciding which kind of custom mesh style grille you should install on your ride.
When it comes to sporting a grille for your Chrysler 300, what grille would you prefer; a durable ABS plastic grille or a long lasting stainless steel grille? The answer quite frankly is far fetched. Both grilles are equally good with numerous pros and cons.

Disadvantage: On the downside, this grille may break on impact. But let me be absolutely clear before you crucify me, this style grille will not break, crack or peel from day-to-day driving. As with any type grille or grill construction, if the impact is severe, it will break no matter how it was made or what material that was used to make it.
On the other hand, the stainless steel design features well-built stainless steel wire mesh material that is either polished or chrome plated. Advantages: Stainless mesh grilles is very strong and corrosion resistance; popular metal used for crafting billet grilles. Plus, stainless steel is incredibly tough, resilient and easily fashioned into a multitude of forms and shapes. For added customization, it can be painted to match or accent your factory paint scheme. Disadvantages: The downsides to the stainless wire mesh grille style are the price and limited styles. Without any doubt, the stainless steel wire mesh design grille is more durable than the ABS plastic mesh style design grilles. Like the popular saying goes – if you live in a glass house, do not throw stones. The same applies here, just because it is made of stainless steel, it will not get damaged. Proper maintenance and care is required for this grille to last long. The downsides to this grille style are the price and style limitations.
Whereas, ABS mesh style grills offers different styles for everyone, some stainless steel grille manufacturers like E&G Classics, T-Rex Billets and Precision Grilles offers the wire mesh grilles with multiple style to please every segment. Which grille style is right for your 300? My candid answer is; both. No one grille offers better advantage or disadvantage over the other, a lot depends on the style you want to exhibit, and more importantly, the limits on your budget. Don't just buy a mesh grille because it is inexpensive or just because you have unlimited Benjamin Franklins. For better or for worse, you are the judge and the jury. Buy the right mesh grille for your Chrysler 300 or 300C because it fits, and have it installed on your ride because you are content with it
