This is the very biggest saw that Dolmar ever made. Its really hard to get a proper concept of the size of this saw just by its picture. The power head alone weighs in at 27 pounds just by itself. Its been bored out to 9 cubic inches and has around 30 horse power. This saw has a bit of history in that it was used to fall a giant seqouia redwood. In case you are not familiar with giant seqouias they are not to be confused with the coastal redwoods that are comercially logged to this day. The seqouias are much bigger and have been protected by the government for many years now. This saw was used to fall a standing dead snag that was over 16 foot in diameter at the base. I know this because I was there when the tree hit the ground, and my father was the one who cut it down. The bar was special made for it by welding two five ft bars together (the longest at the time available)
The saw has been sitting in my shed now for many years and I guess Ive kept it until now because of sentimental value. But any ways its for sale, the money I raise for it will go into something I actually use. The winner of this bid gets a trully massive chain saw, with killer power.
The saw last ran like the day it was made. One hitch though is that the points need to be filed, something that has do be done about every 100 hours with this machine. Another great feature is the gear reduction pull starter, without it it would be impossible to start. Not like the Stihl 090 super's that would occationally rip the cord right out of your hands (ouch).
